Gailing GmbH, a company belonging to the Simon Hegele Corporate Group, was renamed GMED Healthcare Solutions GmbH in July 2019. The development of the company into one of the leading service providers in the transportation, assembly, insertion and installation of high-tech medical devices is now also more clearly expressed in the company name.

On 08.07.2019, the renaming of Gailing GmbH to GMED Healthcare Solutions GmbH was completed with the registration in the Commercial Register. The legal form as well as all contractual rights and obligations remain unchanged. The company's headquarters are still Stuttgart. In addition, the Duisburg site is regarded as an important hub for the GMED business.

For Managing Director Mike Winter, the change of name is logical: "We are continuing on a growth path and are driving the internationalization of the company forward in a targeted manner. Furthermore, the industry focus is clearly in the healthcare sector and this should also be expressed more clearly in the company name."
